Glencar.

Glencar, Ireland, September 20, 2013

We arrived in the early evening after hours of driving on narrow and winding roads through the rocky and bleak landscape. I'm hopping out of the car, looking at my phone as I have yet to make some calls but it doesn't show any network connections. Great start. (Later I'm told that the wifi router got grilled by lightning the evening before. The vacation got extended by two days, I guess, as I can't work without internet.)

Our accommodation turns out to be a bit strange but comfy and our hosts are quite caring. It feels like somebody cross-breaded a detached house with a farm and placed it into nowhere. Means that you are awakened by either a cock or the pig that tries to break open its cage.

For some reason though the view in the morning was just amazing so the first thing I did was hurrying back into my room to grab the camera. Much to the disappointment of the family as I arrived for breakfast even later than usual. Click.
