Santa Maria della Salute. Illuminated right in the middle of the otherwise dark Venice. After all I promised night shots.

After a quick research I found out that this shot is rather unique. At least from this point of view. Captured standing on Giudecca, looking to Venice's main island. Right in between these two islands Dorsoduru is situated with its baroque building that is named after the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The stripes in front of it are caused by the busy ferry traffic and I loved them even more as the first try where I tried to get them out of the picture. It felt  too empty. I like it that way, and thats the way it has to be. Only thing I'm still thinking about is retouching the crane. Getting it out of the picture. I have a slight aversion to that. Ideas?

Today I will leave to Ireland where I am going to study photography. I will update you about my stay in Ireland on a seperate page here on my blog.
