Meteoric.

Germany, September 26, 2013

I'm sitting in a car on my way back from Berlin, driven by my mom with whom I swapped the seat just minutes ago. I can't sleep, the camera is lying in the foot well, some time for experiments I would say.

I set the camera on bulb exposure and place it on the tray right in front of me so that it is pointing through the front window. The resulting pictures absolutely are visually interesting but I'm not really happy with them. My mom by the way has no issues with her son not sleeping but taking photos - maybe because his headiness wouldn't allow him to do so after all. Thank you!

After a while I decide to switch from landscape to portrait orientation and also add a swivel to the side and suddenly the thing works as these resulting meteoric light rays are quite appealing to me. Click.

(I guess that you might be able to make out the shield of a motorway station. Or something else.)
