Harsh.

Dingle, Irland, June 25, 2014

The car finally stops in one of those lay-bys this otherwise tight street that snuggles itself into these cliffs has to offer. Finally I declare what I see to be interesting so that the fellow passengers are able to breathe some fresh air and enjoy the scenery while rolling their eyes. I am a nightmare that is now on its way down to the water, climbing down the rocks with a camera in the left hand, using the right for support to prevent itself from falling down.

Somehow those harsh and grey monsters seem to attract me, the ones that are raising from the water and sometimes even approve green and violet splashes of color in the form of plants. This contrast haunted me for the better part of the week, again and again I tried using the camera in a way that gave some kind of sense to the interplay of cliffs and water. Satisfaction was the only thing I didn't find.

Bianca is already on her way back to the top as I - having diverged to the left - look back down one last time. Suddenly it seams that all I was after were these exact rocks. Click.
